Sub-Districts formed (8/19)
n an attempt to be more efficient in our service of Red-Tailed Hawk District units, we have broken the district into 2 Sub-Districts. We ask that you call the Executive whose Sub-District your unit falls in with any needs. This is to prevent Bridgete and I from either doubling our efforts with one unit, or neglecting to respond to the needs of any units. Thank you all for your attention to this.

District Executive Bridgete McKenna will be serving those units that are in the Olathe School District, Spring Hill School District, and the LDS units. (Red-Tailed Hawk District Sub-2)

District Director Dewey Barr will be serving those units that are in the Blue Valley School District, and all Private Schools. ( Red-Tialed Hawk District Sub-1)

School Night for Scouting Dates (7/28)
Hello Fellow Scouters:
Summer sure has gone by fast! Fall is on the horizon and that means it is time for "School Night for Scouting". Below you will find the School Night dates for each school district. It is very important that you get me these dates ASAP in order for us to confirm with the school and set up "Boy Talk's" where we promote Cub Scouts at the school prior to the School Night. Once your pack has decided on a date please check with the school and facilities to make sure this night is available and not booked for another event. We also do not want it to interfere with an open house or "Back to School Night".
Olathe: August 26th, 27th or 28th
Blue Valley and Spring Hill: September 9th,10th or 11th
Privates: Week of September 15-19th

We understand that the schools are just getting settled or about to get settled in for the school year and they may not have their schedules and calendars ready.

The "School Night for Scouting" Kickoff will be held at Roundtable on August 7th at Bass Pro Shop in Olathe. The Kickoff will inform pack leadership on the process of school night and materials needed.
